Is there more to the program than taking classes?
Yes! Mary Foust Hall is a place to call home. Ashby Residential College fosters a deep sense of community among its members. Our neighbors are diverse, but we have common goals—to develop lasting friendships, strong minds, and a resolve to embrace challenges.

Faculty, staff, and students join together in College committees, athletic competitions, concerts, recitals, coffee houses, comedy nights, and picnics. Events have included the Ashby Dialogues, pumpkin carving contests, semi-annual mountain retreats, arts festivals, theatre productions, literary magazines, poetry readings, choir performances, community-wide Thanksgiving dinners, bagel breaks, and a tendency to solve the problems of the world at the picnic table in front of Mary Foust Hall.
Ashby College committees—Yearbook, LitMag, Human Relations, Social, Intramural Sports, Service, Garden, Arts, Parlor Theatre, Choir, Membership, Film, and our Upperclass Mentor and Orientation Leader positions give all of us an opportunity to explore our passions, discover new ones, and practice our leadership skills among friends.
