Q: I thought I was applying to live at Ashby Residential College. What's Mary Foust?
Mary Foust Residence Hall is the building in which ARC is housed. ARC is the program; Mary Foust is the actual place you live.
Q: Can I live in Mary Foust without being a part of the ARC program?
In order to live in Mary Foust, you must apply to the Ashby Residential College. Also, as a side note from one who's lived here: we're looking for people who like to be involved within their communities. If you're applying because you heard the rooms are big, you're not getting the whole story: ARC is about community. If you're looking for a place where people will leave you alone, well, this probably isn't a good fit for you.
Q: Does it cost anything extra to be in ARC?
We have a $60 program fee, but we'll be more than happy to help you out if this is a hardship. The fee helps cover all the awesome events we do during the year, such as Haunted House, Semiformal, various dances, game nights, and anything else YOU want to see happening!
Q: Is there a separate application?
Yes. You can find it online on our website.
Q: Can I come visit?
You can totally come visit! In fact, if you'd like, you can come spend the night with a student at ARC and get the real deal from the folks who live here! Contact Paul Ashby and he'll help you out.
