Portuguese

The Department of Romance Languages is pleased to offer a program in Portuguese with four semesters of language study.

Classes start at the elementary level and continue at the intermediate level. In the fall of 2004, we are offering POR 101, which meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. at the main UNCG campus.

We will be offering POR 102 in the spring of 2005 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. We will continue with the second year sequence in the Fall of 2005 - Spring 2006 to allow students to complete their foreign language requirement in Portuguese.

Completion of the four-sememster sequence in Portuguese will satisfy the foreign language requirement and will prepare students for study abroad in a Portuguese-speaking country. For information on study abroad opportunities, please contact the International Programs Center at 336-334-5404.
