The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has provided $3 billion to the National Science foundation (NSF), $8.2 billion to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and $580 million to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Department of Education has also received funding. The purpose of these funds is to help stimulate the economy by supporting scientific research and education. The Office of Research and Public / Private Sector Partnerships encourages you to take advantage of these unique funding opportunities. However, you will need to act quickly because the deadlines are rapidly approaching and the funds must be spent within the next two years.
