COS Faculty Expertise Profiles

Charna Howson has responsibility for all pre-award grant and contract management activities and non-fiscal post-award management in the departments she serves. This includes working with faculty and staff to develop and conceptualize sponsored projects, identify and research potential sponsors, obtain applications and guidelines, shape proposals, and submit materials to sponsors in either hard copy or a variety of electronic formats. As Associate Director, she assists the OSP Director in the formulation of OSP policies and procedures. She also manages production of the OSP Newsletter, selection of electronic sponsor databases, COS Faculty Expertise profiles, distribution of funding announcements, and requests for project specific sponsor searches.
