Graduate Assistantships are opportunities for students to work with faculty and professionals in the field of RTH and receive financial support. Graduate assistantships are available to fully admitted UNCG Graduate Students and are usually paid to the student through a monthly stipend and/or scholarship.
Currently the Department of Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality Management has departmental assistantships working with faculty, as well as assistantships working on-site in community agencies.
To be considered for a Graduate assistantship in the Department of RTH, contact Dr. Leandra Bedini, Director of Graduate Studies (bedini@uncg.edu) for more information.
New Assistantship Opportunities!
Dr. Stuart Schleien and Kimberly Miller of the Department of Recreation, Tourism,
and Hospitality Management at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro

and sports service delivery across the US. The project has funds for 8 graduate
assistantships with tuition waivers and 25 undergraduate assistantships over
the 4-year grant period. Students must choose therapeutic recreation as their
concentration. Those interested in the grant opportunity should contact Stuart
Schleien (sjs@uncg.edu) or Kimberly Miller (kdmiller@uncg.edu).
