Specializing in the Commercial Recreation concentration will prepare you for the management, operation, and programming of recreation in the private and for-profit sectors of the recreation/leisure industry. You will have the opportunity to learn about the underlying concepts and components of the commercial recreation industry, and to apply them in settings such as resorts, theme parks, health and fitness clubs, golf clubs, marinas, sports centers, campgrounds, corporate recreation programs, country clubs, and event planning businesses. Once you graduate you will be able to find career opportunities such as an event planner, fitness directors, tennis pro, corporate recreation manager, or own your own commercial recreation business.
