UNCG Student Affairs Staff Appreciation
In 2005 the Student Affairs Division initiated awards for staff excellence
with the inaugural winners announced in April 2005. Every year, the Student Affairs Staff Appreciation Committee will present awards to permanent full-time and part-time employees (not available to probationary and temporary employees) in the division of Student Affairs that meet the criteria described below.
The Staff Appreciation Committee has also unveiled another new program for
commending staff members for their good works—anyone on the SAF staff
can send a “Helping Hands” greeting card to anyone else in the Division.
These cards, a choice of six different designs, are available in each department.
If you can’t find a card when you need one, contact someone on the Staff
Appreciation Committee.
Staff Recognition and Award Guidelines
- Any permanent employee in the division of Student Affairs may make nominations for any award. Applications are reviewed and awards determined by the Student Affairs Staff Appreciation Committee and additional Student Affairs Staff members to attain a fair representation of the division.
Nominations for the awards will begin February 22 and end April 2.
- The awards will be presented during an all-staff meeting in April.
- Review the criteria below carefully before making nominations. All criteria must be met in order to be considered. Most of the awards call for "truly outstanding service, above and beyond the expectations of the position."
- Applications are needed for each award nominated. The nominations should come from people familiar with the candidate's service to the division of Student Affairs.
- Questions regarding nominations may be directed to the Student Affairs Staff Appreciation Committee.
