Student Affairs Awards Program
The Staff Development Committee presented the second annual Division of Student Affairs Staff Awards on Thursday, April 20, 2006, in the Cone Ballroom. The special event was spearheaded by the Staff Appreciation Committee, chaired by Davis Lee. Davis and Brooks Graham served as emcees for the program.
Three awards were presented: Team Player, Unsung Hero, and Employee of the Year. Thirteen staff members were nominated for the awards—Carol Bell, Carolyn Coppedge, Barbara King, Kevin McClain, Kathleen McGirty, Nicole Piscitelli, Heather Sanderson, Brett Carter, Leslie Veach, Kim Clark, Mary Culkin, Brad Johnson, and Laura Randolph. Each nominee was presented to the audience through a slide show of photos created by Katrina McClain and Gretchen Pugh.
And the winners are. . .
Cindy Hardy announced the “Unsung Hero Award” winner, Nicole Piscitelli. Cathy Hamilton presented Leslie Veach as the winner of the “Team Player Award.” Jen Day Shaw presented Mary Culkin as “Employee of the Year.”
