On Tuesday April 15th the Staff Development Committee hosted the fourth annual Division of Student Affairs Staff Awards Program in the Cone Ballroom of the Elliott University Center. This year the event was highlighted by the attendance of Chancellor Patricia Sullivan who personally handed out the awards to recipients. After a performance by the “Murphey Melodies” (the children’s choir of the Murphey Traditional Academy) and the presentation of UNCG Service Awards by Vice Chancellor Carol Disque, nominees and winners of the Unsung Hero, Team Player and Employee of the Year awards were announced. Following the awards presentation Cindy Hardy (Campus Recreation), on behalf of the Division of Student Affairs, presented Dr. Carol Disque with a seat named in her honor in Aycock Auditorium. The program closed with a light-hearted tribute to Chancellor Sullivan by Dr. Carol Disque with the assistance and participation of Student Affairs departmental offices.
