Research at UNCG is a collaborative effort, which has both local and global impact. Central to the university's mission of teaching, research and service, laboratory employees collaborate in a quest to translate advances in research into applications that are life-saving and life-enriching. Safe laboratory practices are fundamental to the research process. The UNCG Chemical Hygiene Plan is a written program that sets forth procedures, equipment and work practices that protect employees from laboratory hazards.
