Verification of Health Insurance

UNCG students in degree programs who are taking 6 or more main campus credit hours must provide proof of health insurance coverage to avoid having a health insurance premium charged to their student account. Students who do not provide verifiable health insurance information will be enrolled automatically in a campus-endorsed student health insurance plan and billed $390.00 for the fall semester.

This Accident and Sickness insurance plan is administered through Pearce & Pearce, Inc. of South Carolina and is designed to meet the reasonably anticipated needs of a college population at the best price we could negotiate.

Students who do not provide verifiable health insurance information will be enrolled automatically in a campus-endorsed student health insurance plan and billed $390.00 for the spring semester. Proof of insurance must be verified by no later than January 31, 2010 to avoid paying the $390.00 insurance premium.

Providing Proof Of Insurance Is Easy!

1. Get your insurance information together and go on-line to: http://www.studentinsurance.com. This brings you to the Pearce & Pearce Insurance website entry portal.
2. Type "UNCG" in the search bar and press the GO button. This takes you to the secure (https:) webpage for UNCG.
3. Choose the line from the menu on the left, "Waive On-Line".
4. Select "Spring 2010" as the semester and click "Go".
5. Click "Waive" and just follow the instructions from here!
