The Nursing Clinic

The Nursing Clinic provides health care services for UNCG students, as well as convenient care for UNCG faculty and staff. If you have one of the following needs when making an appointment, just ask for an appointment in the nursing clinic. Examples of services The Nursing Clinic provides include:

  • Requesting pregnancy test
  • Requesting oral contraceptive refill
  • Requesting medication for cough, congestion, and sore throat
  • Requesting rapid strep test
  • Requesting to ask a medical question
  • Requesting medical excuse
    (work only - If patient not given excuse at time of visit to clinic)
  • Requesting dressing for abrasions
  • Ear wax removal
  • Toothache
  • STD screening
  • Lipid panel
  • Blood typing
  • Suture removal
  • Albuterol inhaler refill without symptoms - no wheezing and no shortness of breath
  • Negative IPPD and Negative Chest X-Ray - For immunization clearance
  • Herpes Outbreak requesting refill
    (frequent outbreak and requiring suppression therapy needs a medical appointment)

Student Health Service’s main concern is the health of our students. Therefore if we are unable to provide a service we offer outside referral.
