Lynne Harris, Ph.D., HSP-P
Staff Psychologist
Lynne Harris, Ph.D., HSP-P, joined the staff of The Counseling & Testing Center staff in January, 2008. In the past, she has served in a similar capacity at the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) and at the University of Southern Mississippi. She also served on faculty at the Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, GA, just previous to coming to Greensboro. She earned a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, a master’s degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. Lynne lived in Tokyo, Japan, for 2 years which encouraged a lingering personal interest in travel and a professional interest in working with international students. She also has training in working with students for whom spiritual beliefs are an important factor in addressing life challenges. She currently facilitates the Healthy Relationships Group in the center and has sponsored a Graduate Student Support Group on campus.
