Identity Concerns

College years are a time of self-exploration and defining who you are as a person and what is important to you. Identity development is a multidimensional process. It may include issues such as physical and sexual identity, occupational/career goals, religious beliefs and decisions about culture, ethnicity and values. College years are often the time when many of these issues may arise. It is a time when you may begin the process of breaking away from childhood beliefs and values to explore alternative ways of thinking or feeling about a particular area of your life. Many questions may arise during this process and there may be emotional conflict or confusion. CTC staff is available to assist you in navigating through this process.
