Peer Review Guidelines
- Select a Writing Prompt which has not already been reviewed by two people.
- Read it carefully.
- Compose a peer review using a word processing program. When you are finished writing your review, select the entire text, click on copy, get into Blackboard,
open a reply screen for the relevant posting, and paste your review into the reply screen.
- In your review:
- Point out at least two things the writer has done well;
- Pose at least two questions about the response to the Writing Prompt; and
- Make at least three suggestions about how the spelling, punctuation, capitalization, word usage, grammar, style, or organization of the response could be
improved.
- Be sure to phrase your comments in a constructive and supportive way. Your goal is to help your classmate do his or her best job on the response he or she
ultimately submits for a grade.
