Moving to the Head of the Class: Overcoming Socioeconomic Barriers to Postsecondary Education

Please join us on February 12th from 8:30AM until 2:30PM in the Elliot University Center featuring:
Keynote Speaker: Dr. C. Adolfo Bermeo
"Many Rivers to Cross: The Struggle for Access, Equity, and Social Justice in Higher Education"
Panelists from area colleges and universities
"Institutional Successes and Struggles with Breaking Down Barriers"
Information fair of local resources for educational access and equity
Presentation of art work by students of the Pathways Center

Afternoon sessions featuring:
faculty and staff of UNCG presenting research
UNCG student voices
the UNCG Guarantee Program
representatives from CFNC, AVID, and GEAR-Up
and the National Center for Homeless Education

This event is free and open to the public.
