Bryce Hagedorn ’03 PhD, faculty member at the University of Central Florida.
Dixie Masey ’02 PhD, visiting assistant professor at the University of Puget Sound.
Distinguished Career Awards-Given for continued exemplary service in education
John Culbreth ’96 PhD, chair of the Council for Accreditation and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) national accreditation body for the counseling profession
Sue Spencer ’80 MLS, coordinator of school media programs in the Department of Library and Information Studies at UNCG
Outstanding Achievement Award-Given for achieving state, national or international distinction in any field.
Denise Andrews ’81 BS, elementary teacher and reading specialist for grades K-2 for Gaston County Schools.
Laura Dean ’91 PhD, faculty member in the College Student Affairs Administration program at the University of Georgia.
Distinguished Service Award
Elizabeth Shaw ’57 BA, retired middle school social studies and language arts teacher for Charlotte-Mecklenburg County, was recognized for her service to the School of Education Advisory Board, Students First Campaign Committee and her Class of 1957 Reunion Committee.
