All items that affect any program in the Teachers Academy, including routine changes, must be submitted to The Teachers Academy Curriculum Committee.
2. Obtain approval and appropriate signatures from the appropriate division, department, school, college faculty, or committee
3. Submit the proposal for the new or revised course or new or revised program to the Director of The Teachers Academy approximately 3 weeks before the next scheduled meeting of the Curriculum Committee. Guidelines (Curriculum Guide, page 21, the blue sheet)
b. a copy of the proposal
c. attachments including copies
of consultations and other correspondence; and

suggested by NCATE, SDPI, and
other learned societies within the program area. Written narrative,

documentation.
4. Upon approval of a course or program proposal,
the Director of the Teachers Academy will sign the flow sheet on
behalf of the Curriculum
Committee and forward decisions to the Executive Cabinet. The Curriculum
Committee
may recommend changes in
proposals before final approval. The sheet and materials will be
returned to the program
chair or author of proposals.
5. Program representatives will send approved materials
to the University Curriculum Committee or the Graduate Studies
Committee.
