Biography:
Jennifer grew up in Jacksonville, NC and received the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship at UNCG in 2000. She received her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education in 2004, and began working for Guilford County Schools at Guilford Middle School as a 7th grade math teacher in the fall of 2004. During her first year of teaching, she received the Guilford County Schools Secondary Rookie Teacher of the Year and was named the Rookie Teacher of the Year, which earned her a scholarship to complete her master’s degree at UNCG. She completed her master’s degree in 2006 with a degree in Middle Grades mathematics and was awarded the UNCG School of Education Early Career Award that same year. Currently, she is working on her advanced learner certification, national board certification, and a post master’s certificate in school administration at UNCG.
She resides in High Point with her husband, Josh.
