Visit the 
New Century, New Building
The School of Education is currently housed in the Curry Building, built in 1926. With the School growing in new directions, it is time for a new building for a new century. Construction will begin in late spring of 2009 for a new home for the School of Education and will open in the fall of 2011.
The building will:
- feature 19 classrooms, two lecture halls, sign language laboratories, multimedia and technology labs, a Student Advising Center, the Michel Family Teaching Resource Center, and office space for outreach activities.
- house five of the six departments, Office of the Dean, and Teachers Academy
- be the first building on campus built to the LEED Silver standards. This means it will meet the required criteria for sustainability as defined by the U.S. Green Building Council
- be located on Spring Garden Street adjacent to the Bryan School of Business & Economics
- be approximately 110,000 square feet
