
NC TEACH is a rigorous, high quality program designed to recruit, prepare and support college graduates and mid-career professionals as they enter the teaching profession in North Carolina.
At UNCG, two programs are offered: NC TEACH Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program and NC TEACH Undergraduate Program.
NC TEACH Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program candidates take coursework at the graduate level and pursue licensure in one of the following areas:
Licensure Areas
Grades 9-12
Comprehensive Science
English, Latin, Mathematics, Social Studies
Grades 6-9
Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies
Kindergarten-12th Grade
French & Spanish
Candidates for the NC TEACH Post-Baccalaureate Program typically begin their coursework with an intensive Summer Institute offered in a blended format of online and face-to-face class sessions. Candidates take summer, fall, and spring courses and complete their licensure requirements in one to two years. Throughout their programs, they work as lateral entry teachers and receive support from mentors and other members of their cohort.

A program of study at the undergraduate level is developed for each student. Students receive advising and mentoring support throughout their teacher preparation program.
