- A recording of Anthony Chow's (LIS) invited talk, "Peace is within us" can be viewed here. Anthony is also on the founding and editorial board member for the new open access journal created at UNCG's Jackson Library entitled The Journal of Learning Spaces.
- Brian Clarida (ELC) was selected as a winner of the 2011 Triad Movers & Shakers Award. Brian will be honored at an awards ceremony and dinner on October 5, 2011, and his personal profile will be published in the Business Leader Magazine (October issue).
- Bree Jimenez is among the authors of the article, Evaluating evidence-based practice in teaching science content to students with severe developmental disabilities in Research and Practice for Persons with Severe Disabilities.
- Dot Kearns (alum) and Dean Wixson are featured in the UNCG press release for the SOE Dedication. Read the full article here.

- Week two of SOE Dedication Celebration is underway! Come by the lobby today at 2-4 p.m. for the ERM poster presentation and reception.
- This week’s events include:
- Monday 9/26: ERM poster presentation and reception, Lobby 2-4p.m.
- Tuesday 9/27: Our Costa Rican Service Learning Project, media presentation by CED in room 401 from 3-6 p.m.
- Wednesday 9/28: SES has many events during the day: Learn to Finger-Spell your Name, Signing Songs and Signing Flash Mob, Simultaneous Read Across the Region, Jeopardy, Sign Lab Open House, and Forum/Reception. For details click here.
- Thursday 9/29: Preparing Thoughtful and Effective Change Agents, Honoring Dr. David Purpel, Dr. Rebecca Carver, and Dr. Dale Brubaker (ELC), Courtyard Lobby from 4-5:30 p.m.
- Friday 9/30: FUN DAY! Join us from 12-2pm in the courtyard (lobby if rain) for a wrap up celebration featuring:
