Faculty, Staff, Student and Alumni Accomplishments

Anthony Chow (LIS) presented an invited talk, "Library Technology Trends" at the annual meeting of North Carolina Public Library Directors at Blowing Rock, NC. Anthony’s article, "Academic Libraries, Information Seeking Behavior, and Virtual Reference Services: Are There Differences Between University Faculty, Staff, and Students?" was accepted as a feature article for the Spring 2012 issue of the American Library Association's Reference User Services Quarterly.
Sandra Andrews (LIS) has been appointed to the editorial board of School Library Media Research Journal for a three-year term.
Belinda Hardin (SES) and Christine Murray (CED) were featured in Campus Weekly regarding their promotion and tenure to Associate Professors.

Reggie Wilkerson and Travella Free (ELC students) were selected as UCEA Barbara L. Jackson Scholar

UNCG Staff Senate full body meeting will be Thursday, Sept, 8, 10 a.m., Virginia Dare, Alumni House
The Community Dedication for the School of Education Building will be Thursday, Sept. 22nd at 4:30 in the courtyard. Please plan to attend, and see all SOE Dedication Celebration activities here.
