The School of Education hosts several affiliated organizations that promote our research activities and complement our initial and advanced preparation programs. These affiliated groups expand the resources and professional opportunities for our faculty and students.
The Collegium for the Advancement of Schools, Schooling, and Education is used to promote scholarly inquiry, the interchange of ideas, and improvements in teaching and learning. The Collegium brings people together -- faculty, visiting scholars, business people, administrators, teachers, legislators, interest groups, and the public -- to share perspectives, to think in new ways, and to find better ideas.

Newborn hearing screening legislation has resulted in early identification of babies with hearing loss, so professionals in multiple disciplines need knowledge in deafness and early intervention. CENTe-R's focus is to ensure that graduate-level intervention professionals develop appropriate professional skills/competencies to meet unique concerns of families with infants and toddlers who are deaf / hard of hearing. Modules were developed in collaboration with families and practitioners from across the United States. The module content was outlined, composed, reviewed and piloted by national experts in deafness and early intervention.
