(Applications must be received by School Systems by this date!)

Fellows who are interested in being considered as a Bus Facilitator for Discovery 2008 should Submit Letter to Gladys Graves by this date. Use a Business Format; Include Name, Campus/Home Addresses, Phone Numbers and E-Mail Addresses, Include “Why I Want to be a Facilitator” and “What Experiences I Would Bring to the Position”. This letter must be submitted by email only.

April 21: Discovery 2008 Itinerary Available Online for Freshmen Fellows – Registration begins and is required of All Freshmen & others who are required to participate in the 2008 trip.

April 25: Online Registration for Junior Conference ends

April 29: Online Registration for Discovery 2008 ends

April 30: Senior Dinner

Required for all Seniors

May 6: Last day of classes

Summer Events 2008


May 17: Discovery 2008 Facilitators and Student Leaders Meet at 1:00 pm.
(Site: North Carolina Central University, Durham)

May 17-24: Discovery 2008 (Site: North Carolina Central University, Durham)
Registration for Teaching Fellows is on Sunday, May 18 from 12:00 Noon– 2:30 pm.
Opening Session will begin at 3:00 pm. Discovery 2008 ends about 10:30 am with the Closing Session on Saturday, May 24. (No early departures will be approved)

June 14: Freshmen Orientation (for Award Recipients, Alternates, and Sureties)
Registration begins at 12:00 Noon. The Program begins at 1:00 pm. Orientation ends at 4:00 pm.
Location: McKimmon Center on NC State Campus.

July 18-20: Senior Conference-Site: Lenior-Rhyne College
Registration is on Friday, July 18, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. The Opening Session will begin
at 3:00 pm. The Conference ends Sunday, July 20, by 12:30 pm.
Fellows are not to schedule any activity that conflicts with the entire conference,
from beginning to the end.

July 25-27: Junior Conference-Site: Lenior-Rhyne College
Registration is on Friday, July 25, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm. The Opening Session will begin
at 3:00 pm. The Conference ends Sunday, July 27, by 12:30 pm.
Fellows are not to schedule any activity that conflicts with the entire conference,
from beginning to the end.
