Pre-Student Teaching

Through an agreement with the Guilford County Public Schools, Teaching Fellows are able to gain public school classroom experience beginning the second semester of the freshmen year. By linking with schools situated in close proximity to the campus, students can access public schools and take their regular college courses without difficulty. The freshmen adopt an elementary school; the sophomores a middle school; and the juniors and seniors, high schools. With this "head start" in clinical experience, Fellows are more prepared for the realities of public school life.
