Beyond the Walls: National Board Certification Renewal

2009 Symposium for Future Ready Schools

Beyond the Walls: National Board Certification Renewal

UNCG Campus
Two-Day Workshop: March 7, 2009 and June 6, 2009

Join NBCT, Joan Celestino, and learn about the renewal process so you can renew your certification and maintain your designation as a National Board Certified Teacher! Joan is recognized across our state and nation as an outstanding workshop facilitator and one who brings her personal experience, energy, and professionalism to every session.

Day 1, March 7th, 9:00am-1:30pm - On the first day participants will focus on the renewal format, revised standards, the renewal product, critical decisions that renewal candidates need to make, and choosing the Professional Growth Experiences (PGE).

Day 2, June 6th, 9:00am-noon - On the second day participants will focus on reading components, reviewing a video, and discussing questions.

Remember that National Board Certification takes you "beyond the walls" so you can continue to improve as a teacher as well as share your teaching excellence as mentors, instructional leaders, staff-training experts and other leaders within your school and beyond. Take advantage of this opportunity to become informed about the renewal process and to network with other teachers from across the state.

Registration Fee: $60.00
