Senior Day: "Is Teacher Education Right for Me?"Senior Day Logo

October 16, 2008
Elliott University Center, Cone Ballroom C

This day is for high school seniors interested in spending a day on campus with one of our education students.

Visiting students go to classes, talk informally about teaching as a career, visit a residence hall, dine on campus, get tips on succeeding in a teacher education program, and attend a closing information session. Each high school senior will register individually and will be assigned a student host based on program interests. Students who register should plan to arrive no later than 8:15 am to be guaranteed a host.

Students who have participated in previous years shared these comments:

"It was great. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot about college life. I can’t wait to go to college! Thank you for everything."

"I really liked spending time with my student host. She helped me with questions and shared some valuable information about teaching and college life. I had a really great time touring the campus, which is really pretty!"

"It was definitely a great experience. I believe every senior should experience a day of college life before they start. I enjoyed exploring the campus and feeling the atmosphere."
