Teaching Career Day is an all-day event for high school students (freshmen - seniors) who are interested in TEACHING AS A CAREER. Interested students can register individually, with a high school group, or with a parent/guardian.
Following a brief orientation, students will enjoy an inspiring address by Anthony Mullen, the 2009 National Teacher of the Year, and meet with faculty and students from the many teacher education programs offered at UNCG. Students will attend information sessions on topics such as study abroad, the College Foundation of North Carolina, financial aid and scholarships, ETAP - a living-learning community for future teachers, and the Teaching Fellows Program. Additionally, interactive sessions will be led by master teachers for a real world perspective on teaching in the classroom. Students will enjoy an all-you-can-eat meal in our dining hall (bring $6.50 cash) and have some campus fun to complete their day at UNCG! Registration opens January 2010.
