Teaching Career Day is an all-day event for high school students (freshmen - seniors) who are interested in TEACHING AS A CAREER. We invite high school students to register individually or with a high school group. Parents may attend too.

Following a brief orientation, students will enjoy an inspiring address by the 2008 NC Teacher of the Year, Cindi Rigsbee, and meet with faculty and students from the many teacher education programs offered at UNCG. In addition, students will attend information sessions about such topics as study abroad opportunities for future teachers, resources from the College Foundation of North Carolina, financial aid and scholarships for future teachers, and ETAP: Exploring Teaching as a Profession - a living-learning community in Grogan College. An interactive session on "teaching in today's world" will be led by master teachers for a real world perspective on teaching in the classroom. Students will enjoy a meal in our dining hall and have some campus fun to complete their day at UNCG!
