The University Web Developers Group (UWDG) is a community for all web developers across all units of the University to collaborate, develop new skills and participate in knowledge transfer. It is also a place to have a positive impact on the University by voicing ideas and concerns.
UWDG is a function of the Web3 Project Team.
Participation is voluntary. Whether you are seasoned developer (old dog) or just learning (pup), everyone is welcome to join.
No doubt you've noticed that the acronym U-W-D-G is... well... difficult to say.
And so after many a conversation with members of Web3 about the organzation, Web3 Co-chair Richard Cox started to affectionally refer to the group as "U(W)-DOG."
And when the UWDG website needed an overhaul, Richard also found this a convenient way to celebrate his own dog, Dobey, and have fun exercising his CSS muscle via the Web3 Wrapper system!
And so, Dobey, as well as other dogs associated with UNCG web developers, have unwittingly become the unofficial mascots of the organization! Find other dog photos in the UWDG Blackboard ORG.
