The Florida State University is a public and coeducational institution. Its main campus in Tallahassee has been the site of an institution of higher education longer than any other site in the state. Enrollment has grown from 2,583 in 1946 to a total enrollment of 38,886 in the Fall Semester 2004 - the student body is 77.2% undergraduate, 19.2% graduate and 3.6% unclassified.

The College of Information at FSU has 37 faculty, 20 full time staff, and approximately 1,000 students - 700 graduate students in information science and 300 undergraduate information technology students. Our undergraduate IT degree offers a BS degree in information technology and information architecture.
