The Ronald McDonald House of Charities is known as the "House that Love Built."
The Ronald McDonald House of Charities provides an home away from home for families whose children are seriously ill receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. There are currently 207 Ronald McDonald Houses in 19 different countries. To learn more about the Ronald McDonald House of Charities please visit their national website.
The Zeta Psi chapter of Alpha Delta Pi works with the Ronald McDonald House in Winston-Salem, N.C.The Winston-Salem house received its first guest family on September 14, 1984. It is located two miles from Forsyth Medical Center. The Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital provides transport service from the House to Brenner Children's Hospital for the Ronald McDonald House guests.
The members of the chapter go to the house once a month, or on special occasions, and do various service activities for the parents and children of that stay in the house. These activities include: raking the leaves in the fall, baking goods for the house, fulfilling wish lists, doing art projects, etc.
