2002-2003 Auditions
Auditions for the 2002-03 Aria Winter Guard will be held Sunday, October 27, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Braxton Craven Elementary School gym (see directions below).

During the audition you'll get to meet our staff as we guide you through our movement and equipment technique principles. There will also be a brief audition routine that is taught to you.

Comfort is a must. Please come dressed appropriately in clothing that you can easily move in (sweats, tights, etc.). You'll also want to wear comfortable shoes during the the day (sneakers, dance shoes, etc.).

If possible, please bring your own flag, rifle or sabre to the audition.  Some extra equipment will be available for those that need it.

The primary consideration during the auditions will be an individual's ability to learn quickly and perform confidently. Enthusiasm and a great work ethic go a long way! Prior color guard or dance experience is recommended, but not required.

At the audition you'll be given information on future rehearsal schedules, performance opportunities, member dues and more. Some information on our 2002-03 season is currently available on our web site at www.uncg.edu/student.groups/awg/. The information there will be updated regularly in the coming weeks.

I understand that many of you coming from UNCG are without cars on campus and will need a ride to Braxton Craven. Contact me me as soon as possible so I can help arrange transportation for you.

Please contact me if you have any questions.  Also let me know if you are interested in marching this season but cannot attend the audition. Feel free to forward this information to any friends you have that may be interested in marching this season.

Take I-40 West I-85 South
Follow I-85 South towards Charlotte
Exit onto Hopewell Church Rd (Exit 108)
Turn right off of ramp
At light, turn right onto Hwy 62
Go through two lights and the Braxton Craven School gym is immediately
on the left, on the corner
