Beginning the Journey

Your Spiritual journey begins with an encouter with the Truth.  What is the Truth?  Jesus Christ said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."  Who is Jesus?  Why is He so important?  Jesus claimed to be God.  Not a prophet, or messenger from God, or someone who had seen God, or someone with special knowledge and powers, but very God Himself!  Wow, that's serious stuff.  You can't just say you're God.  We call that lieing, and pyschologists call it an illusion of grandeur.  C.S. Lewis, a noted professor, once said that Jesus can't be just a good person because good people don't claim to be God.  He is either a lunatic, a liar, or Lord.  We must decide what to do with Him and we only have three logical choices: commit Him as a lunatic, condemn Him as a liar, or adore him as Lord.  Truth demands action.  What action must be taken when Truth is encoutered?  We must repent of our sins, acknowledge Jesus Christ as our Lord, and follow Him for the rest of our lives.  Why do we have to do this?  The answer to this question can best be expained by using "The Four Spiritual Laws."
