How Can I Get Involved in Habitat?

To get involved all you have to do is email uncghabitat@yahoo.com and let us know that you are interested in getting involved. I will then add your name and email address to our email list. From then on you will recieve emails about all of the events that we are involved with as well as sign-up information about the workdays. So what is a workday? It is a saturday that 15 people from UNCG dedicate their time to the Greensboro Affiliate construction site. We meet at 7:15 am and stay till 2 or 3 pm. We also have put together a raffle sale fundraiser for November and will be participating in two more special volunteer events as well, which are the Breast Cancer Walk and the AIDS Walk.

Habitat at UNCG has six workdays planned for the Fall 2002 semester. Currently all of the fall workdays are full but you may still sign up as an alternate. To sign up as an alternate for the workdays send us an email with the date, your name, and phone number. You will be signed up as an alternate and if someone cancels you will be called as a replacement, which always occurs.
Please volunteer your time ---remember no experience is needed.

If you have a group of more than 3 or 4 people that would like to go together you can email UNCG Habitat for Humanity and we will contact the Habitat Volunteer Coordinator directly at Greensboro's Habitat office to set up a workday just for your group of friends or organization.
