UNCG Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment 2009 Dues Information

Dues are the payments that you make to your sorority each semester.
This money goes towards funds likeĦ
Panhellenic:
This allows us to plan all Greek programs and also do things like Greek Week which all the sororities participate in every spring.
Organization Headquarters:
This is money that goes straight to the headquarters of your sorority and helps with the preservation of the organization along with scholarships and insurance for the sorority.
Chapter Programming:
This is what you get to participate in directly through your sorority. This includes things like sisterhoods, socials with other organizations, formals and date parties, philanthropy events (every sorority has their own signature event every year), and scholarship, risk awareness, career planning, adjusting to college life, and diversity programs and workshops.
Housing:
This is the money that goes towards keeping the sorority halls in good shape. It can go towards getting a new TV or furniture in your chapter rooms or to repainting the halls or even redoing the bathrooms. It is money that will help keep where you live comfortable and modern.
New Member Fees:
These are fees that you only pay once. This means that after the first semester the price that you pay will go down. This goes towards all the things that you will receive from the sorority while you are still new.
Other:
There are other miscellaneous fees that are different for every chapter. This list that we just provided for you is just a general overview. Every sorority spends their money in different ways but the funds that we listed above are things that every chapter generally spends money on.
**As you can see all the money that you pay to your sorority you will get back in some way. This is not just money you are paying that you will never see again. Also, we want you to keep in mind that most of the sororities are willing to work with you through payment plans or scholarships. These are concerns that you can discuss with the individual sororities if you decide to join.
