Davey Beauchamp

Davey Beauchamp is an author who has no idea what he is doing at any given moment, as he is being pulled in numerous directions at once. He graduated college with a B.A. in English with emphasis in Creative and Professional writing.  In college, he learned he could write and do so effectively stirring emotions in his readers. Though while there, he learned nothing about the industry, especially in regards of getting published.  In the end, he was self taught.  Davey has made mistakes along the way but has learned a great deal by breaking the rules and being himself, which puts him apart from other writers. Allthough, he wouldn’t recommend his approach to everyone, because it has helped him as much as hurt him.

After college, he did write a book and had it published; however, he considers his college horror film because it was that bad. Then he published the first book in his Agency 32 series Agency 32: The Chelten Affair. It was during this time when he got his nick name ‘Con Artist’ because he was attending conventions, in the beginning, with nothing more than a cover. He really enjoyed doing conventions and hanging out with the attendees and fans because he himself is one at heart. Davey always strives to make sure they have as good as time as possible, because without them he wouldn’t be there.

The next book in the Agency 32 series will be released by a brand new publisher, who understands the energy and excitement Davey possesses. On top of this, he has been writing original audio dramas based on Amazing Pulp Adventure starring Mister Adventure, a young adult novel which is being shopped around at this moment. The audios are being produced by Outcast Media.

His current project Writers for Relief: an Anthology to Benefit the Survivors of Katrina, which he is editing and contributing a story, has allowed him to work with authors Davey would never have imagined his name being associated with. These include Larry Niven, Nancy Kress, Brian Aldiss, Eugie Foster, and numerous others. All proceeds from the book will be going to the American Red Cross to help the survivors of Katrina.

Just recently. Davey was tapped to write various horror screen plays for both film and TV.

When he isn’t writing or attending conventions promoting his books and just having an amazingly fun time, he works as a mild mannered librarian, in Wilmington NC .
