After making his living as a fulltime writer for about 30 years, Simon Hawke went out and finally got a job. Having once lived out of two motorcycle saddle bags, Simon now has a mortgage, a new truck, and even (gasp!) health insurance. Currently working at Home Depot, Simon has been taking a vacation from writing for the past few years, recharging his batteries after publishing over 60 novels, among them the popular Time Wars series, The Wizard of 4^th Street novels (missing the Harry Potter craze by being about ten years too early), and the Shakespeare & Smythe Elizabethan mysteries.

He recently purchased a laptop and is trying to figure out what to do with it that will garner more great reviews and lousy royalties. At the age of 54, Simon has abandoned the dream of writing the Great American Novel and will instead settle for enough of an advance to purchase a new Harley and a few more tattoos to add to his collection.
