Jennifer
McCollom is a local Film, TV, and Print make-up artist who has
worked on some wonderfully bad movies such as Last
Lives for the Sci-Fi Channel and Harmonic
Distortion, an independent film festival project.
Her most recent work can be seen in the award-winning June
Bug, Walker, and at the Woolworth’s museum in downtown
Greensboro.
If you go to
Manteo,
NC
and see the documentary
there, Jen got to do make-up on all the Indians fighting in
the back ground (and they were only wearing G-strings).
Jen
has also attended Martial Arts Film Stunt school doing fun
things like shooting guns (with blanks), jumping out of moving
vans, jumping off buildings, Bo fighting, rolling over cars,
running into doors, etc. All
to enhance the acting she has done in works such as Eddie
with Whoopi Goldberg, various theatre projects, in house
videos for local companies, and Stellarcon Cabaret.
Jen
graduated UNCG with a BA in Theatre and a minor in Physics.
She has been a member of SF3 for many years helping out
at Stellarcon. We like to call Jen our Hobbit since she is
only 4’ 9” and can tell you lots of great places to eat
throughout North Carolina, Maine, Los Angeles and Pasadena,
CA, Florida, England...okay you get the idea.
She
is always willing to talk about any of these things especially
when bribed with good food (and this Hobbit does not like
mushrooms!).
