Michael
A. Stackpole is an award-winning, New York Times Bestselling
author, editor, game and computer game designer. Raised in
Vermont
, he graduated from the
University
of
Vermont
in 1979 with a BA in History. He
moved to
Arizona
to work for Flying Buffalo, Inc.,
which had previously published his first game, City
of
Terrors
, in 1978. Over the next ten years
he worked with a variety of companies in the gaming and
computer gaming industries. In 1988 the first two of his
novels appeared, and by 2005 he had published thirty-seven
books, including eight New York Times Bestselling Star WarsŪ
novels.
In
addition to writing fiction and doing game design, Mike
publishes The
Secrets, a publication for writers and produces
podcasts related to The
Secrets.
