About the Program

The Department of Social Work has a 20+ year exchange program with The Glasgow School of Social Work. Every other year, a UNCG faculty member and a group of UNCG social work students go to Glasgow to study with social work students and faculty.

In alternate years, Scottish professors and students come to UNCG for four weeks of study.

During Summer 2012 graduate and undergraduate students from UNCG studied in Glasgow for a month.

During Summer 2013 Scottish students will be at UNCG studying with BSW and MSW students in

  • SWK522, Comparative Study of Cross-cultural Social Work Practice
Course dates are June 10 – July 3, 2013 and registration for this course is now open for UNCG students.

The course is open to :

  • Rising social work seniors,
  • JMSW students,
