Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies
Overview of Academic Programs
The Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies (CARS) offers Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
Three concentrations are offered for undergraduate students:

Apparel Product Design – prepares students for careers in apparel and textile products design and production.

Retailing and Consumer Studies – prepares students for careers in apparel marketing, distribution, and retailing.
Course Curriculum - Global Apparel and Related Industry Studies- prepares students for careers in global apparel marketing, distribution and retailing.
Course Curriculum
The CARS graduate program uses course work and research to integrate the social sciences, business and economics, humanities and the natural sciences and relate these areas of study to retailing and consumerism.
