Academic Advising

Academic advising is considered essential for success when pursuing a major in the CARS department. All students pursuing a degree in the Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies are assigned a faculty advisor. Faculty advisors post office hours of when they are available to see students. As a student in CARS, you are expected to:

  1. contact your advisor and schedule an appointment.
  2. meet with your faculty advisor at least once each semester to discuss progress towards the degree and course selection for the next semester.
  3. take responsibility for completing your degree by knowing the requirements for obtaining a degree in your major.
  4. Maintain an up-to-date plan of study

Additional information concerning academic advising may be found at Enrollment Services for Students.
