Financial Support

Students in the Department of Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies (CARS) have access to the various sources of financial support offered to UNCG students in general. Some sources of support for CARS students consist of scholarships, work opportunities as well as other forms of financial aid.

Scholarships

The Consumer, Apparel, and Retail Studies department offers scholarships annually. In addition to CARS departmental scholarships, School of Human Environmental Sciences, and University scholarships are available on a competitive basis. We encourage students to apply for the many scholarships available to them. For more information go to the Scholarships page.

Work Opportunities

There are many opportunities to work on-campus and off-campus while at UNCG. In addition to providing an income, part-time employment can provide important work experience relevant to future careers. Many of our students find part-time employment in a variety of design and marketing roles with retail, textile, apparel and other companies. For more information, visit the Student Employment Office web page.

Internships that offer summer employment are an integral part of our undergraduate program. Visit the Internships page.

Financial Aid

The University provides information and advice on other sources of financial assistance to help you start and complete your studies. Visit the UNCG Financial Aid Department page for more information.
