E-Portfolio

How Do You Create an E-Portfolio?

Each program provides specific guidelines for portfolio development.

Following is a list of general suggestions:

  • Collect artifacts to use as evidence that you have met all the required competencies and standards.
  • Select the artifacts you want to include in your e-portfolio including: MS Word files, PowerPoint documents, scanned artifacts, digital pictures, graphics, audio files, digital photos or video.
  • Reflect on each selected artifact, explaining how it meets specific standards and competencies.
  • Use TaskStream for developing and housing your portfolio.

E-portfolios are electronic versions of traditional paper portfolios. They contain artifacts and reflections that demonstrate mastery of teaching standards (INTASC or Masters Competencies) and the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers. E-portfolios integrate and demonstrate mastery of teaching and technology knowledge, skills, and dispositions. The e-portfolio format is easily portable and readily accessible for people who need to evaluate your work. All teacher education programs at UNCG use TaskStream for portfolio development.
