2011 Summer Symposium
Strengthening Our Profession: Year One Academy for UNCG OSTEs & Clinical Teachers
Presented in collaboration with The New Teacher Center
Tuesday, June 21 – Thursday, June 23, 2011
9:00AM – 4:00PM
In this highly interactive session, participants will:
- Investigate the role of the OSTE/Clinical Teacher in teacher preparation
- Learn language to facilitate teacher candidate growth
- Acquire additional skills in observation and feedback
- Acquire specific tools to assist in formative assessment of teacher candidates
- Explore the role of standards in facilitating teacher candidate development
Space is limited. Please register early. Priority in registration will be given to current UNCG OSTEs and clinical teachers.
Participants will receive a stipend and be eligible to receive 1.8 CEU's. (Prior approval by the school district may be required for CEUs.)
