2011 Summer Symposium
Yopp Professional Development Institute for Beginning Teachers
Monday, June 20 and Tuesday, June 21, 2011
9:00AM - 4:00PM
An interactive workshop for teachers who will begin their second year of teaching in 2011-2012.
At the Yopp Summer Institute, beginning teachers will:
- Examine issues that are important to new teachers
- Work with cases (scenarios)
- Develop understandings and communication skills for effective teaching
- Reflect on teacher impact on student achievement
- Network with other beginning teachers
Participants will receive a stipend and 1.5 CEUs. (Prior approval by the school district may be required for CEUs.)
