Yopp Professional Development Institute for Beginning Teachers
June 24 and 25, 2009
An interactive workshop for teachers who will begin their second year of teaching in 2009-2010
At the Yopp Summer Institute, beginning teachers will:
- Examine issues that are important to new teachers
- Work with cases (scenarios)
- Develop understandings and communication skills for effective teaching
- Reflect on teacher impact on student achievement
- Network with other beginning teachers
Participants will receive a stipend and 1.5 CEUs. (Prior approval by the school district may be required for CEUs.)
Participation is limited to the first 70 registrants. Register early!
