Standard Professional I License is the State of North Carolina's initial license for individuals who qualify to teach in preschool, elementary, middle and secondary schools. To qualify for this license, individuals must:
All public schools and many private schools in North Carolina require their professional educators to hold this initial level of licensure. If you plan to work outside North Carolina, check with the education department of that state to determine if your North Carolina license will be accepted.
