Julian Cheek
Julian Cheek, Costume Studio Manager for UNCG Theatre for more than 15 years, received his Master of Arts in Liberal Studies and his Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Museum Studies from UNCG. With a specialization in Museum Theatre, Julian is the resident Costumer/Costume Designer for FIVE BY O. HENRY at the Greensboro Historical Museum, one of the longest continually operating museum theatre ventures in the Southeast. Other recent design credits include LITTLE WOMEN, produced by the UNCG School of Music and WILDFIRE: BLACK HANDS, WHITE MARBLE, produced at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA). Julian serves on the Board of Directors of the Triad Business & Professionals Guild, on the Committee on Ministry for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greensboro and has performed duties on organizing committees for the Triad Health Project’s annual Winter Walk for AIDS and Dining For Friends. In recognition of service to the community & University, in 2005 UNCG awarded Julian both the University Staff Excellence Award and the College of Arts & Sciences Staff Excellence Award.
